The Practice
Ali Al-Attar, M.D. established his practice in 2012 following many years of training in Washington, DC and New York. A native of Potomac, Maryland, Dr. Al-Attar completed his undergraduate and medical school studies at Georgetown University, and then remained at Georgetown Hospital for plastic surgery residency under the legendary surgeons Scott L. Spear, M.D., and Christopher E. Attinger, M.D. Following residency, Dr. Al-Attar went to the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital/New York University, for fellowship training in aesthetic surgery. Ali Al-Attar then returned to Georgetown University Hospital and worked with Scott Spear as his fellow in plastic surgery of the breast. During his academic career, Dr. Al-Attar has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in some of the world’s most prestigious journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Microsurgery, and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Al-Attar entered private practice after extensive training with the world’s top plastic surgeons, and practices the entire spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
